Spatula Stuhhi
1.0 Technical characteristics
Spatula Stuhhi is a glossy, natural long-maturing stucco of the highest quality; marble powders and additives grant the product properties of high adhesion to the surface and excellent smoothness of application, rapidly achieving the desired finish. It is an innovative product, which originates in the Venetian culture of traditional glossy stuccos, which was modified and adapted to the current needs for colouring and rapid application. Spatula Stuhhi affords maximum breathability, is resistant to alkaline attack and is an excellent anti-mildew and anti-bacterial product due to its very nature; its continuous carbonation process ensures excellent resistance to humidity.
Note: Advanced Spirito Libero recommends that our entire range of lime based natural materials is used only by highly skilled or licensed tradespeople with extensive experience in this field. It is the responsibility of the applicator to understand the application method and the procedure involved ,in order to obtain a satisfactory outcome. Advanced Spirito Libero recommends that architects, builders and clients appoint only experienced applicators in the relevant lime-based materials to ensure they’ll be able to deliver the same finish as per the sample shown. Following the Australian Building Code we do not suggest the installation of this product inside the shower area.
sect. 2.0 Use
Spatula Stuhhi is suitable for decorating indoor wall surfaces.
sect. 3.0 Preparing the surface
Preparing the primer is vital to the success of the coating. It is therefore advisable to use Primus Sabbia for Spatula Stuhhi.
sect. 4.0 Application method
Spatula Stuhhi is ready for use. Any water on the surface is to be considered normal and should be removed before use. For colouring, before introducing the desired COLOURING AGENT, decrease the viscosity of the product first, by mixing it with a drill and purpose-provided impeller. Then introduce the quantity of COLOURING AGENT specified in the catalogue and mix until the shade obtained is completely even. Before applying it, allow the coloured product to rest for at least 12 hours.
Primer: Apply Primus Sabbia.
First coat: Apply it as evenly as possible.
Second coat: When the first coat is dry, apply the second coat as evenly as possible, creating a flat surface without grooves, but not glossy, in order to create the ideal surface for the application of the third coat.
Third coat and polishing: Proceed when the second coat is dry (to achieve an even-coloured result, we recommend you use material coloured with a single colour batch). Polishing is performed during the drying phase. The shine is achieved by pressing between the blade of the steel spatula and the coated surface.
Once the first coat is applied, the process has to be complete within 48h.
sect. 5 Protective finish
Cera del Vecchio: The product is ready for use. Mix thoroughly before use. Leave the surface to be treated to dry for at least 48 hours. Apply the wax using a soft sponge, approximately ½ m2 at a time, until fully absorbed. After 5 minutes, remove any excess with a soft cloth and proceed with polishing after 30 min using a dry non-abrasive cloth (TNT non-woven fabric, microfibre, cotton or linen).
